Position Summary

The

Security Supervisor

at Impala Terminals is responsible for managing static security operations, access control, and third-party security service providers across warehouse and terminal facilities in Dar es Salaam. The role involves overseeing CCTV systems, perimeter security, conducting incident investigations and vendor audits, preparing operational reports, and leading security awareness training.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Facility Security & Access Control

Manage third-party security service providers to ensure strict adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Oversee access control operations, perimeter physical security, and CCTV monitoring systems across warehouse facilities.

Investigations & Inspections

Conduct thorough incident investigations, route surveys, and security vendor audits.

Continuously evaluate, monitor, and recommend improvements to existing facility security strategies.

Reporting & Administration

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly security operational reports.

Handle administrative correspondence, emails, and routine communication cleanly and promptly.

Training & Development

Develop and deliver security training sessions for staff and contractors focusing on hazard awareness, prevention protocols, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

High School Certificate / O-Level, Certificate, Diploma, or Degree.

Work Experience

Minimum of

2 to 3 years

of practical experience in physical security operations, facility oversight, or supervisory security roles.

Military or Police background/training is considered a strong advantage.

Technical & Personal Skills

Valid Tanzanian Driver’s License.

Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.

Strong investigative, supervisory, and analytical problem-solving skills.
