About the Role

CVPeople Tanzania is seeking a visionary, entrepreneurial

Executive Director

to provide strategic leadership and overall management for a prominent Fintech Association in Tanzania. The ED will serve as the primary industry spokesperson, driving ecosystem scaling, policy advocacy, membership engagement, donor fundraising, and high-level regulatory partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Ecosystem Building

Execute growth strategies to position the association as the leading fintech voice in Tanzania; advise the Board on industry trends.

Regulatory & Stakeholder Relations

Act as primary liaison with the Bank of Tanzania, government ministries, development

finance institutions

and investors.

Resource Mobilization & Partnerships

Implement fundraising initiatives, secure grants/sponsorships, and build sustainable revenue models.

Organizational Operations & Governance

Oversee financial budgeting, staff supervision, program execution, and member retention strategies.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5–8 years of progressive executive/leadership experience in fintech, financial services, digital finance, or development ecosystems.

Strong track record in fundraising, donor stewardship, policy advocacy, and multi-stakeholder management.
