Job Overview
Onfon Microfinance is seeking 4 committed and results-oriented Debt Collectors to join its team in Dar es Salaam. The primary focus of this role is to track overdue accounts, contact clients via phone calls and field visits, negotiate payment terms, and ensure the timely recovery of outstanding debts in alignment with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Contact clients with overdue balances via phone calls and field visits to recover outstanding debts.
Negotiate workable payment plans and follow up to ensure repayment compliance.
Maintain complete and accurate records of collection activities, payment schedules, and customer interactions.
Generate daily and weekly debt recovery reports for management review.
Collaborate closely with the internal credit and finance teams to streamline collection processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Prior experience in debt collection, credit control, or customer service is an added advantage.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently hit collection targets.
High level of integrity, discipline, and result-oriented mindset.
Fluency in Kiswahili (English proficiency is an added advantage).
