Role Overview

Hakadosh Company Limited is seeking a qualified

Civil Engineer

on behalf of a client in the agricultural sector. In this role, you will lead the engineering and quality control of land development civil works—spanning rural roads, drainage networks, leveling, and field layouts—guiding projects all the way from initial setting-out through execution, measurement, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Layout Preparation

Prepare and verify field layouts, road alignments, drainage plans, and leveling designs using estate plans and LiDAR/DEM data.

Survey & Setting-Out Direction

Direct surveyors and site supervisors on precise setting-out, level control, and maintaining accurate as-built records.

Quantity Estimation & Certification

Compute quantity estimates, measure completed earthworks, and verify contractor measurements for billing and payment certification.

Structural Oversight

Ensure that all infrastructure elements (such as culverts, river/stream crossings, and drain outfalls) are constructed in strict compliance with engineering specifications.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate closely with the irrigation team to manage structural interfaces between land development civil works and upcoming pipeline or center-pivot irrigation infrastructure.

Documentation Management

Maintain comprehensive technical drawings, measurement books, and project completion records for all civil construction tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.

(ERB registration in Tanzania is an added advantage).

5 to 8 years of professional experience in earthworks, agricultural/irrigation infrastructure, or rural road construction.

(Plantation or large-scale agricultural project experience is preferred).

Technical Proficiency

Strong command of AutoCAD, survey data handling, and contractor measurement/valuation processes.
